Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection
Wattro does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All battery, power, and system data is processed locally on your device and never leaves your machine.
2. No Telemetry
Wattro contains no analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or crash reporting. There are no network requests made by the app except for optional license key verification (Pro users only).
3. License Verification
If you purchase a Pro license, your license key is verified against Paddle's API during activation. This transmits only the license key itself — no device information, usage data, or personal data is sent. After activation, the license status is stored locally.
4. Local Storage
Wattro stores the following data locally on your device using macOS UserDefaults and a local SQLite database:
- Your settings and preferences
- Power history samples (wattage over time)
- Charge/discharge session records
- License activation status (Pro users)
This data is never transmitted anywhere. You can delete it by removing the app and its preferences.
5. Third-Party Services
The only third-party service involved is Paddle (payment processor), and only if you choose to purchase a Pro license. Paddle's handling of your payment information is governed by Paddle's Privacy Policy.
6. Children
Wattro is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
8. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to the contact information on the main website.
